Volunteering as a leader and facilitator for many numerous community based organizations and events, Karen was recognized as a Hometown Hero in 2001.
History
Karen has been a long-time volunteer in The Woodlands, earning her the title of Hometown Hero in 2001. Karen has served as the leader and facilitator for the Village Association’s Spring and Fall Flea Markets since its inception and is currently the President of the South County Fourth of July Committee.
Goals
Pride in her community and keeping the hometown vision alive and well are the hallmarks that drive Karen’s volunteerism. Running for the Township Board is a natural extension of her commitment to the community and desire to be involved.
Family
Karen has lived in The Woodlands for 20 years with her husband Dan who is Vice President of the Panther Creek Village Association and director on MUD 40. Their daughter Amanda is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Sports Broadcasting and a Masters in Sports Communication and is the communications director for San Jacinto College System.
