Why were you against Propositions 1,2,&3? PDF Print E-mail

I felt that the governance process and the residents – not the members of the WCA board– had overwhelmingly chosen incorporation. At the last second, the idea of using the Town Center Improvement District surfaced, and like magic it was done. The Woodlands Community Association Board did not have a word in the deal. It was given to our Board until just prior to voting by the membership, and then it was an incomplete document. Because of all the details with no explanations, and missing sections, there was no way I could go proposition pro. Houston was not going to annex The Woodlands. A very expensive ad campaign convinced the voters they were under a threat, and now it is time to move forward with the plan.

I am always willing to listen to the residents of The Woodlands, and to take action where necessary. This is the direction the membership has chosen, and I will do what it takes to help continue to make this a hometown community.
